This week, we shed a light on the pioneering efforts made by The Walt Disney Company to address labour issues down the supply chain including forced labour. Given recent approval of the NSW Modern Slavery Act (June 2018) and Commonwealth Modern Slavery Bill (scheduled for approval in early 2019), we think this case study is handy to understand what best practice means and what can be done as an organisation to begin addressing labour issues down the supply chain, to showcase commitment, to become a leader and even to influence the industry.
