Antonio Astone is the Global Sustainability Manager in DNV GL – Business Assurance. In his position, Antonio has the global responsibility for the technical development and management of all services in the Sustainability area.
He is based in Milan and has a long track record of delivering certification and assurance services to Global Customers.
His areas of expertise include ethical supply chain, sustainability reporting and accounting, stakeholder engagement, sustainability risk management, management system certification, climate change, business ethics and auditing practices.
With an economic background, Antonio is an influential author of publications on sustainability issues at the interface of finance and environment. Antonio is also an active member of international working groups for the development of standards and best practices in the area of sustainability and auditing. He is member of international technical Committees for the development of ISO standards in the domain of sustainability, such as the ISO 20400 – “Sustainable Procurement” and the ISO 26000 on Social Responsibility.
Antonio is an APSCA’s Executive Board member. APSCA, the Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors, was created to enhance the professionalism, consistency and credibility of individual auditors and organizations performing independent social compliance audits, and to promote the use of independent social compliance audits as a tool to advance workplace conditions for workers globally
