Carole Ann Smith has a long-standing interest in sustainability and is a member of the Supply Chain School. Carole Ann was appointed to the post of Project Manager for the Social Enterprise by the Action Sustainability Community Interest Company (ASCIC) in 2017.
As the project manager Carole Ann administrates the ISO20400.org website, acts as the secretariat for the global steering group (ISO 20400 committee members), uses social media to network, promote and market the website. Carole Ann also works on multiple projects to promote the benefits of sustainable procurement. The ISO20400.org project is an exciting opportunity to promote the ideals of ISO 20400 to a global audience whilst promoting sustainable procurement, sharing good practice, and promoting the benefits to the environment, economy, and social value.
Carole Ann attended the very first BS8903 Sustainable Procurement training session which was the fore runner of the ISO 20400 and has used the information she has gained practically in a house renovation project.
